The Shipping Association of Portugal represents the majority of owners of ships registered in MAR – the International Shipping Register of Madeira – working with the Regional Government of Madeira, the IBC and industry to develop a strong Portuguese maritime cluster.
Representing international shipowners in MAR
EISAP is a private association representing the majority of owners of ships sailing under the Portuguese flag. Headquartered in Funchal, close to the International Business Centre of Madeira, with an office in Lisbon for direct connection with our associates.

Defend the interests of Portuguese and international shipowners with vessels registered under MAR.
Promote MAR
Contribute to the promotion, development and harmonisation of the register with IBC and the Regional Government of Madeira.

Support job creation for young Portuguese and European seafarers and shore staff.

Madeira Maritime Week & Portugal Shipping Week
Our annual meetings alternate between Madeira Maritime Week (MMW) and Portugal Shipping Week (PSW) in the Lisbon area.
